Transfer In
STEPS FOR TRANSFERING IN TO MINNESOTA WEST:
- Follow the steps to apply and be admitted as a new transfer student.
- Minnesota West will evaluate your past college transcripts and any prior learning (Credit for Prior Learning) that you provide. Transfer credit will be then posted to your Minnesota West transcript.
General Degree Information:
- Associate of Arts (A.A.) degree from Minnesota West have completed the requirements for the Minnesota Transfer Curriculum.
- Associate of Science (A.S.) degree is designed to transfer to a bachelor's major in a related scientific or technical field, or may be designed for employment.
Professional and pre-professional coursework is designed for transfer to four year colleges and universities. Students planning to transfer and who have made the proper selection of course work, and maintained grades of "C" or better, may expect to transfer without loss of credit.
- Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S.), a Diploma or a Certificate in career programs are designed to provide training for employment in technical and semi-professional job situations.
These agreements serve as a guide to ensure a smooth transition for students transferring
credits.
The agreement specifies that some or all credits from a Minnesota West diploma or
degree will be accepted toward a designated four-year degree program or major.

If you’re not quite ready to apply yet, you can use transferology.com as a great resource to estimate how your credits will transfer. Once you have either your Degree Audit or at least a Transferology report, you are welcome to connect with an advisor to help you see what your path to graduation might look like.
You will need to contact the institution(s) and request an official transcript. Many schools have an online request form on their website. We can access transcript(s) from any Minnesota State college you may have attended.
