D2L Brightspace
D2L Brightspace provides all Minnesota West students with an accessible online platform to organize and update learning materials, insights on student progress and support for what students need to succeed.
Orientation
Completing New Student Orientation is easy, online, and can be done from anywhere.
Log in to your D2L online account.
Upon login, choose New Student Orientation under My Courses. Complete all lessons. Online orientation consists of “how to” videos you can complete at your own pace and watch again when needed.

Note: After reviewing the Orientation in D2L, submit the quiz.
You received your StarID and set up a password when you applied to Minnesota West.
Ready, Set, Start
"Ready, Set, Start" is an in-person event held at all campus locations, designed to help you get acquainted with our facilities, your academic program, student technology systems, and finish up any last-minute tasks before your classes begin. All new students are welcome! (Please note that PSEO students should attend designated PSEO orientation sessions.)

New student email
Your Minnesota West email account is the official method of communication for the college, so it's important to get familiar with using it. Email is hosted by Microsoft Office 365. Accounts are created after you register for classes. Email instructions can be found at Technology Support.
