Nursing Assistant, Certificate
This three credit Nursing Assistant Class is designed to prepare students for entry-level jobs in nursing homes and other health care facilities. The nursing assistant will be able to perform tasks that are related to patient/resident care and supportive to nursing care. This course is designed to prepare one to successfully complete the Minnesota Nursing Assistant Certification Competency Examination and be able to apply for the Minnesota Board of Health Registry.

Medication Administration for Unlicensed Personnel
This 48-hour course meets Minnesota requirements for medication administration. It will review information required for unlicensed personnel to administer medications while under the direction and supervision of a licensed Registered Nurse.
Career Opportunities
A CNA assists medical staff in providing care to patients with injuries, illnesses, or disabilities. Their responsibilities include aiding patients with bathing and hygiene, feeding them, ensuring medication compliance, and assessing vital signs.
A TMA oversee the administration of daily medications to patients, including both prescribed and over-the-counter medications. They record medication doses and schedules accurately.
