Career Opportunities

A carpenter prepares, trims, and molds various materials. They fit structural frameworks for buildings, encompassing walls, floors, and doorframes. Evaluate and substitute impaired frameworks or related structures and fixtures. Provide guidance and supervision to construction assistants and laborers.

A Master Carpenter is overseen by the technical director. They manage the construction, installation, and rigging of scenery. Typically, they oversee a team of carpenters during construction and may also maintain scene-shop equipment and supplies.

Journeyman carpenters perform carpentry tasks for residential and commercial projects, such as interpreting blueprints, crafting wood fixtures, setting up windows and door frames, and fixing wooden structures. They are proficient in using hand and power tools in compliance with safety regulations is required.
